Made to your specification

Designed and manufactured to your exact spec.

A challenge coin only works when it looks like it was made for the people carrying it. We start from your badge, patch, insignia, or a rough sketch, redraw it as a coin, and set the diameter, metal, enamel, edge, and relief around that artwork.

Round or cut to shape. Two colors or five. Die-struck bare metal or full color both sides. Every option below is available on every coin we make, and you approve a proof before anything is struck.

How we work with you

Design & Revisions Included

Our illustrators draw your coin and keep revising the proof until you sign it off.

One Quote, No Surprises

The figure we quote covers the specification you sent. No fees appear later.

Proof Before Production

No die is cut and no metal is struck until you have approved the artwork in writing.

Deep-Relief Striking

Dies are re-cut until every raised line survives the press at full depth.

Hand-Finished Enamel

Color is filled and polished by hand, then inspected coin by coin before packing.

You Talk To The Designer

Your brief is answered personally by the person drawing your coin, not a queue.

The tradition

What is a challenge coin?

A challenge coin is a small struck medallion carrying the marks of a unit, station, or organisation, given to prove membership and recognise service. Carried in a pocket, produced when challenged, and kept for decades.

The custom grew out of military units and spread to fire, EMS, law enforcement, and companies who wanted a physical token of belonging. That is why the object has to be right: it outlives the moment it marks.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much do custom challenge coins cost?

Cost depends on diameter, metal finish, color, relief, extras, and run size. Build your specification above and we reply with a written quote — the figure we quote is the figure you pay.

Can you work from my sketch, or start from nothing?

Both. Send artwork, a rough sketch, a badge, or just an idea and our illustrators draw the coin from there. You see a digital proof and approve it before any die is cut.

How many revisions do I get on the design?

We keep revising the proof until the coin is right. Nothing goes to the press until you have signed off on the artwork.

What metals and finishes can I choose?

Polished and antique gold, silver, and copper, black nickel, iridescent, and dual plating — combined with hard enamel, soft enamel, or bare die-struck metal.

Can the coin be a shape other than round?

Yes. Badges, shields, crests, and cut-outs are all struck to your own outline, including voids cut through the coin.

What is a minimum order and how long does production take?

Both depend on the specification. Send your brief and we confirm the minimum run and a firm production window in writing with your quote.
